Jerry's Artarama (Rural, south of the 60 in Tempe) - 11 Colossal Art Kits for children; 11 Mega Art Kits for teens/adults; 60 Paint Without Numbers packs. One of the Mega Art Kits was packaged with a basket for the tri-district Flippin' for Education Pancake Breakfast (Tax Credit awareness). Most of the art supplies have been donated to students in the districts through the Art teachers. If you are an Art teacher in one of the three districts, and have a student who could use art supplies, please contact us.

Arts Council at Ahwatukee Expo Saturday, September 29, 2007We met a lot of people at the Arts Council table across from the stage at the Ahwatukee Foothills Expo at the Pointe South Mountain Resort from noon to 4 pm on Saturday, September 29, 2007. We had a Silent Auction for a rare double-sided Stevie Nicks autographed poster. Arts Council for Youth provided the sound system, and coordinated the entertainment, with the awesome Desert Vista High School string quartets and guitar ensemble students performing throughout the afternoon. Brisas Mallet Masters were a big hit! They drew a crowd. An ensemble of 17 Orchestra students from Altadena Middle School and Akimel Middle School performed from 3:30 - 4:00 pm, and they were wonderful. There were over 75 booths to visit, representing outstanding restaurants and businesses in the Ahwatukee area. This is an annual Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce event.
